10 Anime You Should Check This Summer

Most people are excited about the summer season because of vacations, but a summer season also means more anime for our beloved anime fans.

The hype of summer anime can be explained through the hotness of summer. We have prepared a list of 10 anime from Summer 2021 you should check out to enjoy your vacations.

Before Starting, I haven’t included the following three in my list as they are continuation of previous seasons

  • My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! X
  • Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S
  • That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 Part 2

But all the three are a must watch for this Season, so don’t skip!

Starting from number 10 we have:

10. Tsukimichi-Moonlit-Fantasy

Tsukimichi-Moonlit-Fantasy is a Japanese anime based on a light novel written by Kei Azumi and illustrated by Mitsuaki Matsumoto. The anime is produced by studio C2C.

The story revolves around a high school student who gets summoned to another world as a powerful hero but the goddess who summoned him banishes him from his title proclaiming him as ugly. The hero now survives in a barren land full of monsters.

Makoto Misumi is the main protagonist of the anime who gets summoned to another world as a hero with insane powers but he gets stripped of his title and starts surviving in the wilderness. He began his journey with his newfound companions named Mio and Tomoe.

What will be the fate of this hero banished by Gods and humans?

9. How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom

How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom is a Japanese anime based on a light novel written by Dojyomaru and illustrated by Fuyuyuki.

The anime is produced by studio  J.C. Staff. The main plot of the anime revolves around a young boy summoned as a hero to another world but the summoned hero is not an overpowered superhuman but an ordinary guy with extreme realistic thinking who decides to rebuild the kingdom from scratch.

Kazuya Souma is the main protagonist of the anime who is summoned as a hero in another world, he is forced to become the king of the Elfrieden Kingdom. Kazuya decides to improve the living standards of the kingdom through administrative reforms and eventually succeeds in it.

He even gets engaged to Liscia Elfrieden, the crown princess of the kingdom who gradually acknowledged him and became his supporter.

However, the kingdom is not safe yet as enemies are keen to attack it. Will Kazuya be able to make this kingdom strong enough to fend off an enemy kingdom?

8. Re-Main

Re-Main is an original Japanese anime produced by the well-known studio MAPPA, the same studio that produced Attack on Titan’s Final Season.

The main plot of the anime revolves around a young high school student who loved playing water polo but after a certain incident, he stops participating in it. However, time has passed, and now he has decided to try water polo again with his new friends.

Minato Kiyomizu is the main protagonist of the anime who stops playing his favorite sport Water Polo after an incident.

Minato loses his memory after the incident and becomes afraid of Water Polo. After some time, Minato, who is now a high school student, decides to participate in water polo again to regain his memories and lost joy alongside his friends.

Will Minato be able to regain his lost memories?

7. Sonny Boy

Sonny Boy is an original Japanese anime produced by the famous studio Madhouse.

The anime revolves around a group of students who are spending their summer just like other students but a sudden inter-dimensional drift happens. 36 boys and girls of school get caught in it. They find themselves on a remote island with supernatural abilities.

Nagara is one of the main characters of the anime who is bored with his life as he has trouble communicating with his classmates and family. The students of the school bully him, due to which he is always thinking about giving up on his life.

He meets Nozomi who is a transfer student from Berlin. Due to unknown reasons, Nozomi is seen tearing up her textbook, and Nagara witnesses it. The two of them get acquainted in this awkward moment.

However, the lives of these students change when they end up on a remote island with supernatural abilities.

6. Peach Boy Riverside

Peach Boy Riverside is a Japanese anime based on a manga written and illustrated by Coolkyousinnjya the writer of the famous anime series “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid”.

The anime revolves around a young man who wanders here and there killing demons and a princess of the countryside who decides to go on an adventure like the man.

KIbitsu Mikoto is the main protagonist of the anime who is traveling in the kingdom of Aldarake. He encounters a horde of demons who are attacking people. He saves the people and slaughters all the demons.

Saltherine Aldarake AKA Sari, the princess of Aldarake Kingdom, was witnessing all this from her castle. Inspired by Mikoto’s “Peach Eye”, she decides to go on a journey herself.

5. The Duke of Death and His Maid

The Duke of Death and His Maid is a Japanese anime based on a manga written and illustrated by Koharu Inoue. The anime is produced by studio J.C. Staff.

The anime revolves around a young duke who gets cursed by an unknown witch and is left to live in a separate mansion with his maid.

Duke is the main protagonist of the anime who was cursed by a witch. Whenever Duke touches a living thing it ends up dying because of the curse. The Duke is left to live alone in a mansion up in the mountains.

However, he is not entirely alone as his maid Alice is with him. Alice takes care of the duke every day while teasing him with her revealing body parts. The duke decided to uplift this curse so he could live a normal life.

4. Remake our Life!

Remake our Life! Is a Japanese anime based on a light novel written by Nachi Kio and illustrated by Eretto. The anime is produced by studio “Feel” the same studio that produced the famous anime series “My Teen Romantic Comedy is Wrong As I Expected”.

The main plot of the anime revolves around a middle-aged man who unfortunately loses his job and goes back to his hometown. Suddenly, He wakes up 10 years back in time, this time he decides to make things right for his future self.

Kyouya Hashiba is the main protagonist of the anime, a middle-aged unemployed man who loses his job as a game developer. Kyoya thinks about his past and his mistakes of not pursuing higher education. Right after sleeping, he travels back in time miraculously to the moment where he just passed the entrance exam of Onaka University.

He meets talented people like Aki Shino, Nanako Kogure and becomes friends with them.

With this sudden burst of the opportunity given to Kyouya by fate, will he be able to make his future better once for all?

3. The Case Study of Vanitas

The Case Study of Vanitas is a Japanese anime based on a manga written and illustrated by Jun Mochizuki. The anime is produced by studio Bones.

The main plot of the anime revolves around a grimoire book created by the vampire out of his hatred for vampires born under the crimson moon and an ordinary human with the quest to discern the power of the grimoire created by this blue vampire.

Vanitas is the main protagonist of the anime, an ordinary human who has inherited the grimoire known as the Book of Vanitas from vanitas (Blue Vampire). Vanitas has been using the power of grimoire to heal the vampires struck with a strange illness.

On his journey, he meets Noe Archiviste, a vampire who has been searching for the book of vanitas.

Noe starts working with Vanitas to cure vampires while discovering more about the grimoire and strange illness of vampires.

What is the cause of this vampire illness? Will they be able to save everyone?

2. The Detective Is Already Dead

The Detective Is Already Dead is a Japanese anime based on a light novel written by Nigoju and Illustrated by Umibozu. The anime is produced by studio ENGI, the same studio that produced “Uzaki-Chan wants to Hangout”.

The main plot of the anime revolves around a young boy who always ends up in an unfortunate situation ranging from witnessing a drug deal to murder, this chain of strange events leads him to a detective girl who takes him as her assistant so they both start traveling all across the globe solving dangerous mysteries.

Kimihiko Kimizuka is the main protagonist of the anime who has a piece of bad luck on his side which leads him to dangerous situations, he meets a young detective girl Siesta who forcefully hires him as her assistant.

Kimizuka and Siesta take down various criminal organizations together but all of this takes a turn for worse when Siesta dies and Kimizuka returns to his ordinary high school life as a student.

After a year, a girl with a mysterious resemblance to Siesta takes admission in the same high school where Kimizuka studies. It causes him distress once again.

Has Siesta returned from the grave? What will be Kimihiko’s course of action?

1. Girlfriend, Girlfriend

Girlfriend, Girlfriend is a Japanese anime based on a manga written and illustrated by Hiroyuki the author of “Aho Girl” and “The Comic Artist and His Assistants”.

The anime is produced by studio Tezuka Productions. The main plot of the anime revolves around a young high student who finally gets to date his childhood friend but he has another crush so he decides to be honest about it and begins to date both of them.

Naoya Mukai is the main protagonist of the anime who is unbelievably honest about everything. He finally gets a chance to date his childhood friend Saki. Everything was going well but Nagis MInase, Naoya’s classmate, confessed her love for him. He is going to reject her but he considers that doing so will hurt Nagisa so he decides to date her as well.

As Naoya is honest about everything he tells Saki about Nagisa and begs her to allow him to date her as well, Saki gets infuriated but after the request from Nagisa, she ends up agreeing to it.

With this situation in place, Will Naoya be able to keep this polygamous relationship balanced?
